...ON TOUR WITH HALF MAN HALF BISCUIT...

Some more half remembered half-facts with pictures

St Albans, October 1999
The public and backstage face of Geoff Davies. On the left the shopkeeper, perusing The Guardian - only too happy to serve the public providing they don't try and haggle over the price of a T-shirt. On the right a post-gig band manager trying to work out the quickest route to London Gateway Services

Norwich, October 1998
One thing you learn about Geoff Davies when you first travel to gigs with him is his love of unadopted and single track roads.
He also has a thing about Churches and old architecture. It's only fitting then that we see him here relieving himself at The Wash during a break on the journey to Norwich.
He later went on to christen the A47 as "The Starvation Route" on account of its general lack of roadside services.
On the right, in a hotel just a stones throw from Carrow Road, he laid claim to the double bed and complained in a loud voice about the amount
of sports coverage that was "creeping insidiously into The Guardian" until Gareth "Top" Jones (pictured) started throwing cigarettes at him.

(L-R) Carl "Drums" Henry, Ken "Not Drums" Hancock, Gareth "Fat" Jones
These pictures of Carl and Ken were taken at The Horn, St Albans in February 1999. Both are in jovial mood following a meal at some restaurant or other prior to the gig. Little did Ken know that he'd go on to spend the night throwing up said meal, nearly causing the following night's Brighton gig to be postponed.
If I could remember the name of the restaurant I'd recommend anyone bothering to read this NOT to bother with the pizza with a fried egg on top.
The picture of Gareth Jones was taken for a "What's On Your Hard Drive?" piece I was doing for PC Zone in 1999. He hates this picture, which is why it's here.
For anyone who doesn't know, Gareth Jones is/has been sound engineer on This Leaden Pall, Some Call It Godcore, and at numerous gigs.
